About R123 Refrigeration Gas

R-123 (2,2-dichloro-1,1,1-trifluoroethane) is a hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) refrigerant, a colorless liquid/gas, primarily used as a replacement for R-11 in low-pressure centrifugal chillers, offering lower ozone depletion and good environmental properties, though its use is phased out due to being an HCFC; it's non-toxic but requires care, and is known for efficiency in large cooling systems.
